Hi, I'm Lina.
I like making things.
That's somehow turned into around fourteen hobbies, multiple projects, two newsletters, a fiction novel, and a silly number of Notion databases.
My current biggest project is IKIGLOO - a life design brand for multi-passionate people. I'm building a practical method, planners, and (maybe) eventually a small community to help people build lives that fit them, instead of squeezing themselves into someone else's definition of success.
As part of that, I write Blueprint to Being, where I explore how we can design meaningful lives aligned with who we are, what we value, and what we want to create. I'm especially interested in exploring how multi-passionate people can integrate all parts of themselves into something more cohesive that allows them to connect their different interests without limiting their potential, and how to make the world at least a better place along the way.
I also write Consciously Designed. Same obsession, but aimed at organisations instead of people. This is where I research and write about how we can build organisations that are both effective and help people thrive. In other words, I'm very interested in how we can create conditions to help people do good work better. Alongside the newsletter, I create practical tools and resources for small purpose-driven organisations that need clearer systems and guidance on how to create healthier ways of working and create work environments where people want to stay.
Outside of all that, I've got a habit of building and creating things purely to solve my own problems. At the moment, that includes writing a novel, where I explore such things as consciousness, artificial intelligence, environmental design, and psychology, and a meal-tracking app for couples, because I couldn't find one that worked the way I wanted.
In addition to that, I also always look for ways to translate evidence-based research into things that people can actually use, be it templates, frameworks, resources, essays, newsletters, graphics, or workbooks. I'm drawn to research around psychology, human behaviour, organisational design, AI safety and governance, wellbeing, and the different ways we might create positive impact on people and the planet.
If you're wondering how all of these things fit together, they all come from the same curiosity, applied to different things. I'm fascinated by how the things we design (our careers, our habits, our relationships, the systems we rely on every day, and the organisations we work inside) end up shaping the lives we actually live. I spend an unreasonable amount of time reading, thinking, and experimenting with ways to help people (myself very much included) flourish, solve meaningful problems, and do things that matter.
Over the last decade, I've worked across operations, campaigns, marketing, design, and project management in a growing startup and small businesses. I even joined one company as employee number three and ended up helping build most of the systems that kept the place running, from scratch. What I enjoyed the most was taking something messy and half-formed and turning it into something that works and feels more straightforward to use.
So whether I'm working on a new organisational framework, building a life design tool, writing an essay, or disappearing down a research rabbit hole, I'm usually trying to answer some version of the same question: "how can we design better ways of living and working?" I think most lives become more fulfilling when we design them on purpose. And I think organisations become more effective when they're designed with people in mind from the very beginning.
